Our History
The Monday Night Meal began in 2009 with a commitment to providing free, homemade, nutritious meals alongside fellowship and community connection. Inspired by the servant spirit of Jesus, this initiative was first launched by a Waconia organization at the Chaska Moravian Church. As the need grew, the program expanded to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chaska. Today, Monday Night Meal serves around 8,000 individuals and families each year, offering complete, to-go meals crafted with care and devotion.

Our Mission
Monday Night Meal serves Carver County with free, homemade dinners every Monday. We welcome everyone with open arms—no questions asked and no barriers to receiving a meal. Rooted in Christ's love, we provide the same care we offer our own families, creating a space of belonging for everyone.

How many meals can I have?
We do not limit meals per person but are unable to serve additional guests once we have run out.
Do you deliver meals?
At this time, we have reached full capacity for meal deliveries.
What is included in the meals?
We provide an entree, a side, and a dessert. Unless stated, we do not currently provide beverages.
Is there a dine-in option?
No, we are a takeaway meal program and encourage you to enjoy your meal wherever you feel most comfortable.
Are you open every Monday?
We operate 44 Mondays each year. Any important updates will be posted here and on our Facebook page, giving you advance notice to make other arrangements as needed.
